Storage Volume Types
Networke Cloud offers two primary types of Storage Volumes, each designed for different use cases and available in multiple performance tiers.
Block Storage Volumes
Block Storage Volumes act as high-performance virtual disks that can be attached to containerized workloads and Virtual Server instances. When provisioned from our All-NVMe storage tier, these volumes deliver performance that surpasses local workstation SSDs and scale to the petabyte level. Presented as generic block devices, they are recognized by the operating system as traditional, physically connected storage devices, making them ideal for demanding workloads requiring low-latency storage.
Shared File System Volumes
POSIX-compliant Shared File System Volumes provide native shared file systems for both containerized and Virtual Server workloads. These volumes can be attached to multiple instances simultaneously, making them perfect for centralized asset storage. Whether you need to share files with collaborators in the cloud or use them as a data source for massively parallel computations, Shared File System Volumes offer flexibility and scalability for your needs.
